Harley’s Ltd is looking for a proactive and dynamic Safety & Health Executive, with over 5 years of experience, to join its team.
As a Safety & Health Executive, you will oversee related protocols, ensuring legal compliance for Harley’s Ltd in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Coordinate the Occupational Safety and Health Committee activities, and ensure adherence with the national health and safety regulations.
The job incumbent will also design and implement policies and procedures for all sites, work in close collaboration with the Human Capital Manager, as well as provide guidance to the Safety & Health Officer.

- Governance: Manage the weekly planning and daily routine work of the Safety & Health Officer to ensure that all tasks and duties are carried out for all sites. Ensure that periodic inspections are done in accordance with the national regulations, as well as record findings. Work in collaboration with the Management to harmonize Safety and Health protocols at Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania for Harley’s Ltd.
- Compliance: Ensure that operations in all locations adhere to the required Safety and Health legislations including, OSHA 2007 and any other local regulations.
- Investigation and Monitoring: Ensure the investigation of all the occupational accidents and submit reports with remedial actions.
- Training: Design and implement Safety and Health training programs, including the development of a toolkit with associated guidelines. Conduct safety induction training for all new recruits.
- Risk assessment: Ensure that effective practices, procedures and facilities are continuously assessed in terms of risk and adherence to the law. Ensure that weekly inspections are carried out at all sites with reports to discuss observations with concerned parties.
- Degree in Safety and Health, Environment or any other related field.
- Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health.
- NEBOSH Certification will be an advantage.
- ISO 45001 Certification is mandatory.
- Lead Auditor Certification will be an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Safety and Health, preferably gained in warehousing operations.
